Phi Delta Theta
at Texas State University
Our Mission:
The Texas Mu Emerging Chapter of Phi Delta Theta will become a pillar of preference and excellence by having discipline, integrity and doing Impactful work for the community and ourselves. Phi Delta Theta was organized with three principle objectives: The cultivation of friendship among its members; the acquirement of a high degree of mental culture, and the personal attainment of a high standard of morality. Recognizing these three principles, we work to incorporate them into our personal lives and our community which enables the men of Phi Delta Theta to be the best version of themselves; Facilitating encouragement of our members to celebrate their true self, and building from each others strengths and learning to improve our weaknesses.
About Us:
The Texas Mu Emerging Chapter of Phi Delta Theta was established on November 17, 2023, with the aim to reinstate a chapter of Phi Delta Theta at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. This establishment of the Texas Mu chapter would be the third iteration as the chapter was active from 1980 to 1997, and again from 2002 to 2012 both ending due to closure. Starting originally with 6 members, within our first semester we grew to a group of 26 devoted men from Texas State to begin to develop and establish the integration of the Texas Mu Chapter led by Recruitment Specialist, and fellow Phi Delt, Adrian Ghilardi. After Adrians departure going into the Spring 2024 semester, led by President Marshall Wells, we continued our committed efforts to grow our chapter and establish a name for ourselves on our campus by building relations with other organizations, community service, and through campus involvement. We continue to construct the future of our chapter going into Fall ’24-Spring ’25 school year, led by current President Emil Zuniga. Our accomplishments are only possible thanks to our dedicated members and Alumni support, we stay true to our mission to develop a chapter of men with high moral aptitude, meaningful bond cultivation, and dedicated chapter service to earn the designation of Phi Delta Theta Texas Mu.
